Chiropractic Care for Working Adults Aged 25–65

Career and Working Adults ages 25 to 65

Career and working adults aged 25 to 65 often experience musculoskeletal issues due to prolonged sitting, repetitive motions, and stress from desk or vehicular jobs. This can lead to spinal misalignments and chronic discomfort that chiropractic care addresses through non-invasive adjustments.

The top reasons this group seeks chiropractic care include low back pain from poor ergonomics, neck pain from phone and computer use, and cervicogenic headaches stemming from postural strain. Regular chiropractic visits can prevent these issues from worsening, promoting better overall function without relying on medications or surgery.

Frequent Career Adult Conditions

The most frequent non-traumatic conditions in working adults aged 25 to 65 include

Low back pain, often caused by sedentary work and poor posture, which affects nearly 50% of those seeking chiropractic care.

Neck pain ranks second, typically resulting from extended screen time and ergonomic issues, impacting about 23% of patients.

Headaches and migraines come third, frequently linked to tension in the upper spine and shoulders from stress.

Sciatica and other forms of Peripheral Neuropathy, involving radiating leg pain from nerve compression, is fourth and common in those with sitting including desk and vehicular based jobs.

Joint pain or stiffness, often from arthritis or repetitive motion strain, e.g. Mechanics Elbow. These injuries diminish the range of motion and sometimes our mobility in other daily activities.

What is examined?

A comprehensive chiropractic examination begins with a detailed health history to gather information on past conditions, symptoms, and lifestyle factors, followed by vital signs assessment including blood pressure, pulse, and height/weight. Orthopedic and neurological exams test range of motion, reflexes, strength as well as isolating pain generators. A chiropractic physical exam includes static and motion palpation to identify restricted joints. Spinal thermography to detect temperature variations indicating inflammation. Posture screening evaluates full body spinal alignment. We may order imaging like X-rays, MRIs, or laboratory studies for more precise diagnosis, along with any additional condition-specific tests such as auscultation. This thorough process ensures accurate identification of neuromusculoskeletal issues without unnecessary interventions.
