Why he became a chiropractor
Stress fractures in his knee put Dr. Cox on a cane, and doctors said he would never walk on his own again. He was a vice president at Bank of New York Mellon.
It took eighteen months of Tai Chi, Chi Gong, nutrition and exercise before he threw away the cane, the crutch and the brace. Later he retired from the bank and went to Palmer College of Chiropractic to help others.
Years later, a fall in martial arts put him back on a cane, and again he was told he would not walk. His pelvis was out of place, and a chiropractor could not fix it. An Australian physiotherapist put it back in place. Today the pelvis is his specialty.

Meet Dr. Chris
Dr. Chris Fencl grew up in Overland Park, KS. While a teenager, his mother introduced chiropractic care to him and his family after she began receiving it to treat her chronic migraines. Though initially skeptical, upon seeing her migraines practically disappear after only a few months of treatment, Dr. Chris began chiropractic care himself as a wellness patient. Through years of consistent care Dr. Chris became convinced of chiropractic’s effectiveness in improving his own health and well-being.

Accident and work injury care
You go to the hospital, they save your life, and they send you home with painkillers and muscle relaxers. That is a band-aid. Dr. Cox examines you to find what is actually wrong, then corrects it, instead of covering the symptom.
Florida gives you 14 days. Under the state’s PIP law, you must be examined by a licensed provider within 14 days of the crash to keep up to $10,000 in coverage, and a chiropractor counts. Miss the window and the coverage is gone, even for injuries that show up later.
Federal employees hurt on the job choose their own provider, as long as that provider is certified by the Department of Labor. Dr. Cox went and got certified. Postal workers, TSA and ICE officers, longshoremen and other federal employees: your care here is covered in full, and the office handles the OWCP claim paperwork.
